They're remaking "Poltergeist."

Will be more "Blue Collar."

According to ScreenRant, Sam Raimi is on board as one of the producers and Gil Kenan, who directed the animated film Monster House has also been hired.

Bloody Disgusting reported that the main character is now named Eric Bowen (rather than Steve Freeling) and that things go wrong when his daughter, Madeleine, gets abducted after he moves his family into a new house.

*Poltergeist is said to have been cursed after four cast members of the film series died in six years, supposedly because real skeletons were used in key scenes.

Most notably: Dominique Dunne, who played the eldest daughter Dana in the first movie, was strangled by her former boyfriend on November 4, 1982. She was 22. And Heather O'Rourke, who played Carol Anne in all three movies, died on February 1, 1988 at age 12 of septic shock.

Will watch it several more times when Netflix gets it.

Great movie, out during the Speilberg explosion.
