Heh! I have several large maples in my front yard that dropped a ton of leaves. I didn't bother to rake them up -- all it takes it one good alberta clipper, and both their front yards will be blanketed a couple inches deep. Maybe that'll shut them up for a while and hide the ugly giant paved driveways they both have in front of their houses.

(12,184 posts)He blew ALL of his leaves into the next door neighbors yard, patio, behind their bushes and up on their porch (they are out of town for the winter).

(14,881 posts)I used to rake up the leaves from my 2 maples, but after the neighbor across the street tried to turn my horses loose into the road, I stopped. I love those alberta clippers that send them over his way.

Besides I have plenty of horse poop, which makes good compost and has the fragrance of heaven to boot.

I've been wary of apartment living ever since, especially floor plans where this sort of thing can happen.

(14,881 posts)who wanted to share my bed. He and his gang of thugs harassed me for 3 years, 24x7. The police told me they had a file an inch thick and a mile long on him, that they couldn't protect me so I needed to get out of town.
I was never thrilled about apartment or condo living. My escape from that hell ended any interest in ever living near other people again...

What's wrong with the U.S.A. that everyone can't enjoy a safe place to live for the simple reason they are human beings???
