I was in the grocery store, and suddenly heard over the PA, them calling out if the owner car matching mine would come to the service desk right away. I knew I hadn't left the lights on, and thought the worst...I went to the counter, to find a young male waiting for me, looking scared and jumpy...He explained that the was just taking some things out the car, and some how the wind, blew his door wide open and it hit my car, knocking the decal off and he felt so terrible about it, that he had come back inside the store to see if could find the owner.
I walked outside with him to inspect the damage, the decal was laying on the floor, and dented a bit in the door and in his car, I could see 2 kids, one looking like it was still in diapers. I told him, shit happens, and how much I appreciated him just letting me know as many folks would have just drove off, especially my Christian, Bible thumping neighbor that backed into my car, and hit it and never told me about it, and spend a week dodging me. I told him his parents raised him right, and let the young man and kids on their way.
My car is getting on, and in the scheme of things, the damage would not even make a dent in my deductible - but that does say a lot about my Bible thumping neighbor, who still has yet to pay for the damage she did...At least, I am glad someone raised their kid right

(28,762 posts)to the parking lot to find a women with a mini van and the town cop (that she knew)waiting on me. She told the cop that I must have hit the back end of her van when I parked. There was a small dent in her rear bumper that matched up with my bumper. First off I did not hit her mini van, she must of had backed into my car and was blaming me. There was no damage to my car at all. I told the cop I didn't do it, and if I had why in heavens name would I still be parked behind her if I was trying to hide it? He told the @8)^8* there wasn't anything he could do and I drove off!
