Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWhy are there forty three different formats for user names to be
combined at random with 27 formats of passwords? Why are passwords hidden as a series of dots so i can't tell if I've made a typing error or put in the wrong word? Why do I have to sign in to order a simple box of chocolates, or a book, or whatever? Why do companies expect me to remember my password when I only order from them once a year?

(5,663 posts)I get constant emails from World Markets. Because I signed up in the store so I would receive special offers. So last night I see something I would like to purchase. I click to check out. They want my World Market ID number! How the fuck do I know? Obviously I am signed up- THEY SEND ME DAILY EMAIL!!! They know my ID, I guess! Screw them. I'm unregistering , now. Way to go, World Market.

I love reCAPTCHA. Helping digitally encode old texts is cool.
