It extended into the early '70s, but those were the days! I still catch Fogerty once in a while playing the old CCR hits, and McGuinn doing the Byrds. I went to one concert that featured both the Four Tops and the Temps and one featuring the Yardbirds.

Good times!

I put a quad 8-track in my Jag. But the only song that really impressed me was one on Quincy Jones' Body Heat abum. He engineered the sound so that it really traveled around all 4 speakers. I still love that song...

After VN I spent 18 months in an Army hospital, my pay piling up at 10% interest.

After my war experience, I really didn't expect to live to see 30 (what the psychs call "a sense of a foreshortened future&quot . So I went out and plunked down $6100 cash for a brand-new '70 E-type roadster. I put the quad 8 in it myself.

I will never ever forget my just looking down at the camshaft covers after I bought my first non-chevy jag.

I LOVED the SU carb, I still do. And the dual overhead cam covers, wow...

Best I had was a 1957 like this, full fender skirts, 2.4 liter, sweet:

Funk is the exception. The lameness of those who do West Coast Swing to that astounds me.
