2. McDonalds isn't forcing folks to eat their crap.

And McDonald's has other options besides burgers and fries, they have ads that promote their healthier options, and the nutritional value is posted.

I think convenience and price play a big role into why folks eat fast food.

Healthy foods, sadly, are not very cheap.

5. McDonalds salads suck. The lettuce is all purple.

Other than that, I kind of like McDonalds.

Can't really eat the rest of the food. Even their fries aren't good anymore.

Processed food is never cheaper.

The healthiest diet is vegan, and vegetables are way cheaper than meat. I spent too much time studying this after a very unexpected heart attack, as I have no risk factors for heart disease. Even adding fish and/or chicken, it is still cheaper.

Of course, this requires the work of learning to cook new dishes, and the labor involved. Food prepared at home is cheaper than eating out. The reward is great; it is possible with a little bit of work to get a meal that tastes better than any meal in any restaurant at any price. Seriously. And I like to go out to eat.

People eat fast food for convenience, and pay for that convenience. It ain't about the money.
