OMG Hell has frozen over! One of those Jackass movies has been nominated for an Oscar

You know that original TV series from MTV called Jackass where Johnny Knoxville and his band of crazy friends do really stupid stunts.

They did a movie this year called Jackass: Bad Grandpa. Was to be a combination of the Jackass series with the Bad Santa movie.

1. As bad as that movie must be at least it did not feature a white boy red-painted

playing injun.

2. That is the only Jackass movie I have ever watched.

The rest, I could not even consider.

It was tame in comparison to Borat. I didn't like Borat either.

It was like a train wreck- I couldn't look away.

This one though, I laughed at the commercials, so gave it a go.

It wasn't bad, and much tamer than I thought it would be.

3. I know I've lived too long on this earth

I've come to be completely out of touch with modern aesthetic values. I live in an era where the average person in civilized society goes out for an evening on the town without giving a second thought to a wardrobe consisting of t-shirt, jeans, and plastic and canvas athletic shoes. It's an era where someone shouting barely comprehensible obscenities into a microphone accompanied only by a monotonous primitive drumbeat can win awards and acclaim as a musician. It's an era where an Academy judging and awarding the highest achievement in a particular art form considers an endeavor such as Jackass as an expression of art. It makes getting old not that bad of an ordeal.

6. This was not a year for character movies

Dallas Buyers Club will probably win this one. They aren't gonna give it to a racial movie and they probably wish Johnny Knoxville was still asking people if they wanted fries with that. But a good old-fashioned AIDS movie, now that's what the voters like. And it was a good movie, so that helps.
