And of course I just love them black cats! What a wonderful assortment of furry felines this weekend.
Are you going to have a long weekend for the MLK holiday? What if MLK had remained alive and became a catnip advocate? Would his famous speech included the line

(12,730 posts)Thanks, SalmonChantedEvening. Even your name brings a smile to my lips. This weeks pics were really uplifting. I did LOL. Constraint keep me from rolling on the floor but it could happen. My companion kitty left this world last week. It is hard but your pics sure do help.
Mewbacca was priceless and the kitty sitting on the baby looks a lot like Angel, except I think Angel was bigger.

TexasProgresive
(12,730 posts)This is for niyad as well, well everybody who can love someone outside of themselves, other people and companion animals.
The silver in the black cloud of my grief is that I feel grief for this guy (Angel was male). His love for his family was unconditional and he taught me to love as he loved.
Even when wee Daisy's heart gives out the love she had will continue on. You are changed.
Maybe another fur sweetheart will come into our lives. I would never think of replacing Angel but then he came to us out of the blue. So maybe his spirit will nudge someone else our way. And the love and comfort of my fellow humans is sweet. Thanks to you both.

(6,671 posts)We adopted a black German Shepherd and whatever mix (we think black lab) from the shelter last year. He is 90 pounds now and found our secret stack of fire wood behind the house and now they are littered all over our lawn. And I mean BIG logs ... about 8 of them all over the place. He chewed through about 3 dog beds and 4 comforters...I ordered the last one online (made in the US) and it seems to be indestructible so far.
Yes, we learned quickly to pick up our stuff and recognized that everything seems like a toy to him
Don't believe the label if a toy says "tough" or "indestructible" ... there is no such thing!
