to curb our political activities but their was a big struggle for a few years before it all sort of imploded.
The minister at my family's church in Paramus was the first to perform a wedding ceremony for two gay men in a church. We all attended. I believe it was in 1970 so it's amazing that we haven't come very far since then.

Liberal. They started it to be autonomous and run by a board of members but they couldn't deal with the reality of what that meant.
It was a great time though. Organizing anti-war protests and marching for civil rights. It formed my views for life.
