SNOW. HArumph

Just off the phone with my sister. She lives in the in the hudson Valley. They are not really gonna get hit. (YAY for the VAlley! )

Here I am -- with fellow DU's, prepping for a mess of a snow storm.. Rain turning to frozen rain and then snow.

Because of the rain, they could not pretreat the roads.

Hubby will be working from home tomorrow.

IF I still lived in the Valley I would say it just the way things are... But I live in Alexandria, Virginia. MArch, Snow. HArumph.

We are having Caphrinia's, plantains and jerk chicken tonight.

Stay safe my friends!

DC WMATA has already cancelled bus service for tomorrow. VRE has also cancelled its commuter trains.

It's not the end of the world, I know. But it's looking like Monday is gonna be a mess. Where we are, they are sill calling for 5-12.

Supposed to end tomorrow afternoon. We'll be passing out pints of homebrew beer for our fellow shovelers. AlWAYS makes life better.

The predictions have changed slowly over the last few days. The latest forecast said only 1 to 3 inches in NYC. I am so glad. I am so sick of the snow and col.

First, about 1/10 inch of ice.
Then, 6 to 8 inches of snow, ending tomorrow evening.

Cripes, this is getting OLD.

OK so far, power's MOSTLY on @ this townhouse but not throughout the area. One circuit not working, so some lights not on. I've encouraged the cook to cook during daylight!!!
