But we just (re-)watched American Werewolf in London last night where this song was used to great effect. A comedy-horror with a tragic ending that's rather haunting. The transformation scene is truly amazing, even by the today's standards. Hell, better than today's standards because it involved no CGI.

I suppose they used the Bobby Vinton version.
