(128,150 posts)I dropped off for a nap after a bike ride this afternoon. My brother turned off the AC before he left for work so it was very uncomfortable when I awoke. Ugh!
I hope that nobody had heatstroke at Eeyore's birthday yesterday. Just remember that we were complaining about how cold April was just a couple of weeks ago. It was 37 degrees in the morning up in Dallas then.

(12,256 posts)It was 80+ degrees here yesterday, and now this. Western Nebraska is somethin' else with its bizarre weather changes.

(5,364 posts)86 in fact. The humidity was low by summer standards ( dewpoint in the high 50's ) but high by winter's and I absolutely sweated like a pig mowing my lawn in the white sun. The sun was white, which seemed to vaporize any cloud that dared stand in its way to offer some shade, and not a solitary wisp of a breeze ( till I was done )
So come the next 4.5 months of hell I dreaded.

(39,216 posts)That damned humidity.
Of course, the tradeoff is a solid week of 20-30MPH winds and dust everywhere.
Good old Texas.
