I've never really heard of them being protective of humans like that.

I love how the cat comes back after chasing off the dog, as if to check in on the kid. But I have to wonder WTF was up with the dog??? It seemed like a normal pet doggie, but it really went after that poor kid's leg!

That poor dog (it's only 8 months old and being put down now) never stood a chance. Kitty found its superpower and wasn't afraid to use it. The word is out on the street. Don't mess with his kid!
