OK, I admit it. I was wrong

I don't eat a lot of processed foods, but when I do, I try to look for the best options possible. For that reason, when choosing a microwave, single-serve mac & cheese, I always chose Annie's.

Organic. All natural.

And totally unacceptable.

I hate to say it, but I've gone back to the goo that is Velveeta.

The macaroni cooks up much better, and that gooey whiz mixes perfectly.

Best answer is probably just moderation, I think.

I do have a friend's mom who makes awesome homemade mac and cheese. I intend to get the recipe. I have stored a block of velveeta in the fridge for several months without mold growing on it. I find something a tad disturbing about that. Real cheese doesn't last nearly as long after it's opened. It also tastes better, IMO, for most purposes.
