The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThis sank like a stone (with one comment) in GD. But this young woman is remarkable.
Amongst all the general bitching in GD, her story held no interest, which amazes me. This isn't really a Lounge topic, but maybe she will get better treatment here, amid my friends.
GD thread:
What a remarkable young woman: she adopted 40 children, opened a school, and helped women empower
themselves in Nepal:

Maggie Doyne looks tired. But you would too if you had 40 children.
And they are all late to bed tonight.
Doyne, 26, is the founder of the Kopila Valley Childrens Home and School in Nepal and creator of the BlinkNow Foundation. She has legal custody of the 40 children, who live full time in the home. An additional 340 kids are currently enrolled in the school. And in June she opened a womens center at Kopila Valley.
