I really can't afford it, but I just had to have it. I already have several guitars, but most are in need of something. I also have a 1939 Martin 0017, but it needs work too. It's a low end Martin, a DX1RAE, an acoustic electric. Great action and tone--wow! Yippee!

(19,089 posts)I recently purchased an Epiphone EJ 200 from Zzounds.com ... It's the knockoff version of the Gibson J200 ... I was thrilled with the big booming jumbo sound ...
Enjoy your new axe ...

(25,816 posts)I have a Gibson ES335 and a Dean, but we lost our drummer. He became a OTR trucker and is only home once a month, and spends a lot of his home time with his lady. So we started doing a lot of acoustic, and added a friend who plays flute and sax. So I needed it!
I don't think Jeannie understands my need to have many guitars. This could be the last time.

(25,816 posts)one of the shames of my teenage life - I lost a left handed Martin. Belonged to my father, I snuck out the window with it one night and got semi-busted. left it in a small desert cave and somebody snagged it. I would give ANYTHING to have it back.

(3,539 posts)One of the things I always wanted to do was to learn an instrument. My wife gave me music lessons as a gift earlier this year but I had to wait until I had the spare funds to make the purchase. I just got this Fender last week and start my lessons after my surgery on the 23rd of this month.

I played classical guitar as a teenager, but I've been learning fingerpicking country blues and early rock & roll/rockabilly lately.
