If you got this reply from a Kijiji advert would you cancel the sale?

Several days ago I agreed to sell a couple of items to someone and planned a meet up in a public location. He then sent an email listing all sorts of items he wanted and quoted a price that was ludicrous. I replied that the prices were firm. Then today he confirmed by email the meet up tomorrowthen simply states the other items he is going to buy and the prices he is going to pay. I don't have an issue with the prices but I feel he is being very aggressive.

I'm feeling that I should avoid meeting this person. Thoughts?

but you should mqke sure the public place is a busy one with lots of other people present. You should also bring two adult males with you.

Kijiji but have never come across anyone dictating the price. One one hand that aggressiveness seems rather creepy on the other maybe its simply a lack of social skills.

extra people on hand. Or, if the price dictated is low, I would cancel the deal. I'm from Minnesota, generally people don't deal like this.

Iade a couple of deals on Craigslist and the meetups were parking lots. One was a closed drugstore, another was a bank parking lot on a rainy Saturday. Niether were ideal. I'm 6'3" and 240". I was not intimidated. Because in both cases, they were straight deals.

I do know of a local situation in which a craigslist car sale went bad. The buyer shot the seller (dead) and stole the car.

What a horror story about that car deal. If I were ever to sell as expensive as a car I'd suggest an meeting at a police station and see what the response was.

"This is what I will pay" or was it "This is what I'm willing to pay?"

I would want to talk to him on the phone to hear his tone of voice. If he wrote "This is what I will pay" maybe he is a bad typist and meant "This is what I'm willing to pay."

Otherwise, I'd back out. Creepy.

Make sure you have a back-up w/ cell phone in hand. Keep your back-up guy about 5 yards away.
