My community health care company has boosted the number of daily patient visits again.

We have gone from a reasonable 18 per day, to 22-26!

As of lunchtime today, I'm on track to see 22. And that's not factoring in the 3-4 Johnny-Come-Latelies who usually drift in to the clinic without an appointment around 4 on a Friday afternoon, somehow thinking it won't be crowded or anything.

If you're ever tempted (at your next clinic visit) to be upset at the duration of your wait to see the provider, it ain't no picnic for us, either. And unlike the absurd delusions I've seen people post in GD, we're not getting mansions and yachts out of the deal...

I'd be in a very bad place without doctors. Actually, I'm sure I'd be dead already.

I thought I would say thanks even if no one else does today.

That's just awful.

No amount of money can really compensate you for overwork.

And, when you finally get home tonite, spent and exhausted, remember all those people that don't appreciate you enough. You helped them all. That amazes me.

overworked engine.

I was going to describe it as 'buzzing', but that would convey the wrong (and much more desirable) sensation. And 'humming' didn't sound quite right, either...

Anyway, hi!
