The Fire phone runs locked down, limited version of Android and has gotten mixed reviews and
apparently few sales.
I see AT&T will be offering a trade in program for older iPhones:

Not enough to buy one though. I am considering that Samsung, but for now my old LG is doing just fine.

(3,445 posts)5. I had an iPhone 3GS for almost 5 years.
I broke down this summer and got a Samsung Galaxy S5--I LOVE IT. The main reasons for the change were Android and a bigger device that would be easier to read. I do miss some of the iOS programs, but I can deal with that.
I don't know much about the Fire except what I've read. It hasn't sold very well.
