Mine can be a terror, but it is part of her beautiful personality. She takes it out on the rugs by clawing the crap out of them. Rugs aren't cheap, but I love my girl kitten.
You have rugs? Oh and curtains are on the endangered species list at our house.
Raven is quite the little interior decorator.

Cuties! Is Pixie still a kitten?
I was going to guess you're a Pixies fan but Jeoffrey is spelled with 2 f's. Jeoffrey, with 1 F, Jeoffrey...
If you know the band, you'll get it; if not, no big.
Btw, love that bat picture in the first picture. Want it!
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,661 posts)Pixie is now about 5 but she still looks like a kitten. The spelling of Jeoffry is from the very long poem Jubilate Agno. Christopher Smart, an 18th-century poet, wrote the poem in a madhouse where his only companion was his cat Jeoffry: http://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poem/jubilate-agno-fragment-b-i-will-consider-my-cat-jeoffry
"For I will consider my Cat Jeoffry...
For if he meets another cat he will kiss her in kindness.
For when he takes his prey he plays with it to give it a chance.
For one mouse in seven escapes by his dallying.
For when his days work is done his business more properly begins.
For he keeps the Lords watch in the night against the adversary.
For he counteracts the powers of darkness by his electrical skin and glaring eyes.
For he counteracts the Devil, who is death, by brisking about the life.
For in his morning orisons he loves the sun and the sun loves him.
For he is of the tribe of Tiger.
For the Cherub Cat is a term of the Angel Tiger...."

(23,973 posts)When we found her lying head down and immobile on our deck, she had been abandoned by her mother at ten days old.
Her eyes and nose were glued shut from dried pus and mucus, she was breathing in rasping gasps through her mouth and was covered in fleas.
My daughter got her stethescope, and we could hear the snapping and bubbling of fluid in her lungs.
We washed her in warm soapy water three times to get all the fleas out, and tried to get her to eat or drink. We had replacement kitty formula, but she wouldn't nurse from the bottle on her own.
She was in extremis and did not have long to live.
As it was a Saturday and my regular vet wasn't in, we took her to an emergency veterinary hospital that we had dealt with before, those people are just awesome, the very best in animal care.
The vet said that the kitten had feline respiratory disease, pneumonia, was anemic due to all the fleas, and gave her a 50/50 chance of living even 24 more hours even with emergency care.
She weighted 7oz.
The vet asked me what it was I wanted to do.
I told her I'll take those chances.
She got a massive dose of antibiotics, three prescriptions, and we had to force her to eat and drink with a syringe as she wouldn't do so on her own.
Whisp when we got home her from the vet.
[IMG][/IMG]
I took her with me on the road a week later, as she needed her different meds administered three times a day and my daughter was busy between work and school, she couldn't be there for her.
Two weeks later, sleeping on my bunk. Still rail thin, but eating on her own now.
[IMG][/IMG]
Week after, much better. Fat little kitty tummy.
[IMG][/IMG]
The following week, being silly.
[IMG][/IMG]
Last week, 3lbs. 7oz. Took to trucking quite well.
[IMG][/IMG]
When Whisp gets home, she spends all her time terrorizing my other four kitties.

(18,470 posts)I don't have any feline children of my own. I do have feline nieces and a nephew.
These are my sister and brother in law's fur kids - a girl and boy;
Maggie
Marvel
My brother and his girlfriend have also have a fur girl named TK;
Then there's my sister and brother in law's late fur girl Morgan. She passed back in January 2013 and we all still miss her very much;
Aerows
(39,961 posts)and beautiful (a few of them look up to no good) ones at that!
makes me want to run my fingers through that lush belly hair she is sporting, and I'm pretty sure Marvel is indeed one that is perfect at getting into trouble.
Morgan looks a lot like my late beauty that I had for 15 years. She was the Countess of the home, and regal.
TK looks solid, like he will have your back no matter what!
I'm so sorry that Morgan passed away. She looks beautiful.

(18,470 posts)Especially when there are strange humans or humans that she has not seen in some time around. After a while she opens up and is really friendly. Her fur is always so nice and always smells so good.
TK was discovered by my brother's girlfriend at just a few weeks old when she got seperated from her mother and sibling. TK was so young that my brother's girlfriend had to bottle feed her for a few weeks. She tried to find TK a home but wound up keeping her then TK became my niece when my brother's girlfriend moved in with him. She's not quite as cuddly as the others but is otherwise friendly.
Yes, Marvel is a trouble maker. Getting in to and on just about everything he can; tops of doors, dryers, refrigerators, shower stalls, laundry baskets, etc etc.
Morgan lived with me for several months while my sister was doing pharmacy rotations, and we became friends during that time. It was always the highlight of visiting my sister to see Morgan and what sort of trouble she was getting in to.

We always have a black kitty in the house.
No pics, but we have Thomas the Tomcat at home, the big lug. He's a love sponge, you can rub him for hours and he just can't get enough.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)I rescued him about 18 months ago from a parking lot, too. He was this little ball of gray, dirty fur that was just squalling. My darling girl and the little kitten did not get along, so I endeavored to find him a home.
He is now about the size of an elephant and his new owner adores him. I still remember bathing him to get all of the yuck out of his fur and feeding him.
Obviously, he is being fed now. I couldn't believe it was him. He weighs nearly 20 lbs. now if he weighs an ounce. Fat as a tick and packs up under the chair of the woman who is as smitten with him as he is with her .
I will never regret uniting them both. They freaking adore each other.

He's a senior...rescued from a very high-kill shelter in San Bernardino, CA. His foster, Dee, had become used to the idea of him being hers forever a few months after she had fruitlessly posted his bio on Petfinder.com. I was on that site for a few hours looking for my first kitty in 29 years(!) when Murphy's photo made my heart stand still. Dee said all she knew about him was he was brought to the shelter with no claws on any of his feet and just a few teeth, all of which were pulled except one. My daughter and I affectionately refer to him as "the hole puncher." Poppa Smurf is feisty, sweet, soulful, vocal, playful, lanky, and soft as a baby bunny. We adore him, and he gets along very well with his canine brother Max. The first photo in this post, which I took with my phone exactly one month to the day after I adopted Murphy, remains as screen saver on Dee's phone.
