I unexpectedly got stuck having to get four of my grandkids ready for bed.

Their father is in Colorado looking for a job. Their mother is in San Diego at a family wedding. And Mrs. Aristus is too sick to do it.

I felt like the Secretary of Commerce suddenly finding out he's President of the United States after the Capitol building gets cratered during the State of the Union.

Defiantly doing the opposite of what my agenda calls for.

(Note: These are the four badly-behaved kids, not the four angelic grandkids of my younger stepdaughter. I wouldn't have this problem with them...)

Mrs. Aristus was able to get our granddaughter taken care of similarly. It was just unexpected after a long day in clinic. Their mother is back today. We're delegating back to her...

If that seems a little old for them to need help in the shower, you're right. They're all Mama's boys, though. Can't do a thing for themselves...
