http://flavorwire.com/newswire/stream-leonard-cohens-new-album-popular-problems-on-npr-first-listen/Leonard Cohen turns 80 on September 22, and will be releasing his thirteenth studio album, Popular Problems to commemorate the date. NPR First Listen has the full stream of Popular Albums so you can get situated before throwing Cohen an absentee birthday party next week.
Its not everyday you get eighty-year-old musical powerhouses releasing their double-digit albums that compete with the best of their past work, but Popular Problems highlights Cohen at his bestthe growling heartbreak and sarcastic poetry that has marked him as one of the greatest musicians of the late 20th century are strong forces on this album.
Be sure to head over to NPR to listen, and buy his album on the 22nd.

Personally I have it as a tie between Cohen and Tom Waits for the greatest living songwriter.
