If the school calls you and tells you that they've found lice in your kid's hair, it's a major annoyance, inconvenience, and embarrassment, and you'd find yourself cursing the little buggers a thousand times over.

But.....

if NASA announces they've found lice living on Mars, suddenly it's the scientific discovery of a lifetime, and it would be announced proudly in big block letters in newspapers all over.

So I guess what you can take out of the whole situation is....send your kid's head lice to Mars.
