British indie band Marconi Union wrote this eight minute track, called "Weightless", in collaboration with the British Academy of Sound Therapy. According to scientists at the Mindlab institution, Marconi Union's Weightless induced a 65% reduction in overall anxiety and brought test subjects' resting pulse rates to 35% of their usual resting rates. The song features guitar, piano and manipulated field recordings. It is punctuated throughout by low tones that supposedly induce a trance-like state. Scientists say the song is so effective at inducing sleep it should not be listened to while driving. Carefully arranged harmonies, rhythms and bass lines help to slow the heart rate, reduce blood pressure and lower levels of the stress hormone

mixed with Brian Eno's Music For Airports.

I'll prob still download it. .99 for an 8 minute track to help drown out the voices in my head is a great deal.
