Satan was cast out of heaven 100 years ago TODAY!! Hallelujah!

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Satan and his demons were cast down to earth from heaven after October 1, 1914 at which point the end times began. Witnesses believe that Satan is the ruler of the current world order, that human society is influenced and misled by Satan and his demons, and that they are a cause of human suffering. They believe that human governments are controlled by Satan, but that he does not directly control each human ruler.

Was a good time for propagandists and hucksters.
Actually, in a way, one can see why some would think the world was run by satan in late 1914. But I wouldn't lump Good ol' Woodrow Wilson in with the Dark One of course.

...when he went from being a flophouse "artist", to joining the German Army, becoming a dispatch runner, fighting at Ypres, and eventually getting an Iron Cross...and going from there to his, alas, destiny. And it all started right about October 1, 1914... No, no--of course I don't "believe" any of this...but it's kind of funny, though...

It's a weird culture that we live in that allows some people to believe incredibly far out shit without locking them up for their own protection.

If I said that a bowl of old chicken soup had commanded me to go door to door, hand out individual burnt sienna crayons, and tell people tomorrow we were all going to be changed into sofa cushions, I'd be looked at as a nut and quite probably locked up. If I convinced enough people to do the same, we'd be labelled as a crazy cult. If we did it for long enough, we could get tax exempt status for our houses of crayon sorting and be considered a religion. If we did it long enough, people who said we were nuts would be called 'anti-religious' and treated like bullies for pointing out what should be painfully obvious to everyone.

The Devil’s world is not necessarily evil, but is tainted through its ties with the Chabochi (non-Rarámuri). The Devil is said to sometimes collaborate with God to arrange fitting punishments and can be appeased through sacrifices. In some cases, the Devil can even be persuaded to act as a benevolent entity. The Devil and God are said to be brothers (the Devil being the elder of the two) who jointly created the human race. God, using pure clay, created the Rarámuri, whereas the Devil, mixing white ash with his clay, created the Chabochi. Thus, the Devil is as much protector and life-giver to the Chabochi as God is to the Rarámuri.

Chabochi in the Tarahumaran language means "he with cobwebs on his face"; a reference to bearded white men. Hence, in the Tarahumaran belief system, white men were created by the devil.
