In The Shockwave Rider he was the man who first predicted the widespread use of the internet, cell phones, and computer viruses, among a few other amazingly forward-thinking concepts.
Stand On Zanzibar is a highly predictive book that is very relevant to this time, including the concept of the mucker. The mucker is a frighteningly familiar concept that has emerged in the last few years- it's a person who snaps and begins randomly killing people, not stopping his rampage until he's killed by the police.
They're humbling books, well worth reading.
