My next door neighbor's dog died of a brain tumor, the dog was having multiple seizures, and was in horrible pain.
I loved "Dodger," he was a black lab/German Shepard mix, looked like a black German Shepard and was a little bigger than one.
Friendliest dog I've ever known, I used to joke to my neighbor that Dodger was 5% dog, 95% schlurp.
Also the best behaved dog I'd ever known.
He even liked my cats!
My neighbor will be ok, I will too. But we'll miss Dodger. A lot.

(17,663 posts)My Slicker, the min pin I rescued from the street 12 years ago today has been fighting cancer since June 2013. Mast cell tumor removed, on Kinavet and Chinese herbs. He is getting older and slowing down, so every day is precious. At this point, I think of it as his reaching his normal life span...so, I'm not so fixated on the cancer...He's done so well, doc says has defied the studies..
Kisses to Dodger....and my Slicky boy!

Beau, Studs, Max, Gypsy, and Nasha.
No dogs now.
Don't want them to outlive us.
