What I gave my neighbor: A head of lettuce and a new yellow bulb outside garage/lamp

I thought it would be funny about the lettuce. He got himself a wild turtle last week. So this week I walked out with something behind my back to meet him, a head of lettuce with a red bow. & (he's sort of humorless) saw it and grabbed it and ripped the plastic wrap off it gleefully, and it was all, like, this is JUST what he needed. He showed me where the "desert" turtle is hanging out in his yard, and there was a pile of lettuce leaves and other veggies in front of him/her. The turtle had its head inside under its eaves.

Also, we've been neighbors 20 yrs but it's complicated. So last week he said his wife had notified him that my garage lamp bulb had burned out and that when I installed a new one I needed to get a yellow light one that would not attract bugs. So I did.

What else would Santa give him that he doesn't do for me?!1

Last year a stranger gave me an onion, and it too was a perfect Christmas gift! (Wanted to make chicken soup, had no onions and grocery closed, so another person hoping to get into the grocery gave me an onion!)
