I have extreme privacy limits on Facebook, but this one person, Bunda, keeps asking to friend me. I have looked up the name on google and it sounds like a randy term. How does this spam manage to creep into the friending process when you have limited the number of people who can friend you?

(21,020 posts)block someone. Essentially what happens is that once you block someone, it's as if you (and the blocked person) do not even exist (to each other) on Facebook.
I get quite a few of those strange friend requests too. People who aren't even friends with people I already know. I always figure they're just trying to friend people to get access to personal info. Like my cellphone number is listed, but only people on my friends list can see it. Along with personal photos in my photo albums, etc.

My facebook is very private, but when I first joined, a weird friend request got in. If Bunda keeps requesting friendship, even after you deny it, just hit not now, and leave it in Limbo. Then delete it another day. I have a request in limbo right now from someone I don't know who is a friend of a relative. I didn't want to be mean and deny it, but I don't want to accept it either. So awkward.

(53,339 posts)Bunda probably wants to reward you generously in return for helping get some funds out of Nigeria. You only need to provide all your banking info and a power of attorney. What could go wrong? Woman, you're going to be sorry if you pass up this opportunity!
