I can relate to that

a few years ago my wife and I went on vacation for 10 whole days. when we returned we found a feral cat had died on one of our outdoor upholstered chairs and liquified in place. the stench was pretty close to overwhelming, plus parts were falling off the cushion
while I tried to put it in a large trash bag. (where's the puke emoticon when you need it?)

As of that date we made a rule: No dying on our deck chairs without prior notice.
