Beer Can Day Beer cans may be a staple of college culture and backyard barbecues but they havent been around forever.
Its hard to imagine a time when you couldnt head to the convenience store and pick up a 24-pack for an impromptu party.
But did you know the first beer can was sold on Jan. 24 1935? Celebrate the beer cans 80th birthday by cracking open a cold one this Saturday.
In the 1930s, this new invention was a result of brewers attempts to innovate after Prohibition ended in 1933, according to Time. American Can Co. had been working to get beer in cans since the early 1900s but found it difficult to can the carbonated beverage without exploding. http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2015/01/23/beer-can-turns-80-this-weekend-celebrate-by-cracking-open-cold-one/

Talk Like A Grizzled Prospector Day Can you talk like a grizzled prospector?
Dadgummit, is there a grizzled-prospector dictionary in the house?
Back in the Gold Rush days, people were flocking to California from elsewhere in the country. And that was a matter of no small importance to Independence, which was a jumping-off point for westward migration.
So its fitting that the National Frontier Trails Museum will participate this year in National Talk Like a Grizzled Prospector Day, celebrated each Jan. 24. In the case of the Independence museum, the observance lasts all weekend, Jan. 24-26.
If you talk like a grizzled prospector, the museum will give you a $2 admission discount. You can also vote for your favorite prospector from among three seen on the big and small screen: Yosemite Sam, Yukon Cornelius and Stinky Pete. http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article335479/Around-our-towns--Can-you-talk-like-a-grizzled-prospector.html

now I think I am allergic to it.
Last time I had PB, I had a reaction.
Went to the allergist and got tested and they told me I wasn't allergic to any foods.
But haven't had PB since.
