At the moment, as I have to walk over that horrid pebble-surface concrete to get to the laundry room, I'm wearing a pair of espadrilles

And you don't wear them with socks. Just a bit of canvas over a natural rubber sole and a jute-corded insole

Right now? It's cold, so socks.

I hate being confined in 2 areas: My feet and my neck.

I can't stand turtlenecks either. There really is no good reason, (except one) to every wear one.

89. For the past 15 yrs, flip flops, not just at home, and never barefoot (i.e., feet to floor/ground)
Sun Feb 1, 2015, 12:27 AM
Feb 2015

The criticisms of flip flops by medical people came true and did some damage to my feet, so from internetting research I ended up with Teva (Lites) for support, but only when leaving the house and mostly cheating back, at home, to the beloved flips most of the time. The flips are SO light, almost non-existent that even the Tevas (much less any kind of real shoes/boots) feel heavy and sweatily oppressive. Am just getting over my impression, barely, that Tevas are dorky Hippie Dippy-looking. For sheer dorkiness, Google for pictures of feet wearing these:
