(19,288 posts)That nice dog reminded me of our, dearly departed, most devoted, loving and loyal, dog ever, Pepper. She's the kind who will greet you at the Pearly Gates.
She came to us well trained and obedient.
Followed any directions you spoke to her like she was human.
What a cross cultural phenomenon. If animals can cross the barriers what is the problem with our species?

Just last week at work, we were talking about how touched we are by stories of interspecies relationships. During the discussion, it occurred to me that we really shouldn't be, because our own relationships with our fur babies are, by their very nature, interspecies.
