It all strikes me of a celebration of superficiality. The music that I listen to is both obscure, and also genuine. I hope it stays that way.

I was turned off to that way back in the 80s. It was obvious to me it was all nothing more than an over hyped celebration of over-played, banal top-40 garbage.
If music were beer, then I want microbrews. The grammys just push Miller Lite or the like.

I rarely watch the grammy's but that would have been worth it.
