I had no idea she could really sing, as in, Sound of Music SING. Anyone who gets the approval of Julie Andrews is quite impressive.
Her performance gave me goosebumps, it was really wonderful and she nailed it.

(95,337 posts)Unfortunately most of today's music buyers don't want to buy something that sounds that amazing. They want auto-tuned crap.

(70,725 posts)That said, she's not my choice for The Sound of Music, especially when she raised her right arm and revealed a trail of tats up and down it. O.K. if I listen but not to see.
Look, I'm old. There are things I've just got a taste/prejudice for and the opposite. *I've* got old school ancient tats from the Navy, up on either shoulder hidden by short sleeve shirt sleeves. I choose not to reveal other torso/body parts of myself as a public service.
Gaga is an EYETALIAN, meaning she's got a gorgeous voice and musical talent. I love Richard ROGERS and Oscar HAMMERSTEIN. Repeating, if Gaga wants to RECORD The Sound of Music for me and just for me, fine. But I don't want to see her tatts.
*****ON EDIT/ADDENDUM: I adore/love a couple of songs, the main one by Christina PERRI "Jar of Hearts" and I detest her tattooed epidermis. I have spent dollars playing her gorgeous song on satellite jukeboxes. I love her. I detest the look. No, I'm not sorry.
