The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWould DU be better if it was a php board?
It took me a long time to join DU after lurking because the format of this forum reminds me of a chatroom the way GD flies by.
For consolidation of topics, I've found php boards work better.
Sorry if this has been brought up before; I guess it would be a radical change - maybe that's why it would be unworkable.
The way mods can manipulate threads to organize has worked well also on php boards as I've seen.
Not whining, just throwing it out there.

(32 posts)an example might be Sports Card Forum (about baseball cards) - maybe DU is too big(?)
Maybe it just takes me getting used to it.

(28,394 posts)I think DU is very navigable. No complaints here.
Welcome to DU.

(37,481 posts)I'm a member (all lurking) of many message boards, and this one is the best one. It's very easy to read, follow discussions and navigate. Of course, when you first start, you have to learn, but that's true with everything.
Give it time. You'll see I'm right.
Best wishes.

The DU format is great. It's actually a pleasure to use compared to most internet webs!
I started by reading news here because it such a great news aggregator and so easy to use.
