(14,400 posts)the scumbags will often fake a number just to try and get you to answer. When they spoof your own number they're also trying to get around blocking schemes like nomorobo.
If you ever see your own number on the phone don't bother answering or pick up and malign the parentage and sexual indiscretions with various farm animals of the caller to your hearts content.

(5,810 posts)Is from within the United States when actually the call may originate in Jamaica. Devious bastards. Most of those calls are scams designed to separate you from your money. Or take money from your gray haired Granny by threats, intimidation and other scare tactics.
