A must see, you can see it on netflix, Billy Elliot. A young boy, he wanted to study ballet. It was a long haul, but he made it. The last image in the film is priceless. Damn, I gotta watch it again! I love dance films.

(5,810 posts)We are so fortunate to have these things to lift our spirits and remind us of what it feels like to be giddy with happiness. How could you watch this and not be uplifted and encouraged? Thanks for posting this because as amazing as the original post was, I kept looking for some of the classic examples of dance in film. Fred and Ginger. Gene Kelly. Donald O'Conner. We do live in an amazing time when something filmed so long ago is still available with a few key strokes! Treasures to be sure!
