He died while he was exiled on the island of St. Helena, 6 years after the Battle of Waterloo. It's suspected that he died of arsenic poisoning.
All his other answers are technically correct, though.

There is debate about that. Particularly if the poisoning was deliberate or a result of his surroundings.

...because while MOST languages have gendered nouns, English doesn't.

as, say, the French and Germans do.
I've got vague memories of old English dictionaries listing the gender of nouns. None of my modern ones do. Maybe it's just old age.
