Squee alert! Momma cat gets new kittens, babies get new momma

A mother lost her children. Somewhere else, three children lost their mother. But from the two broken families of cats, a whole new one was made by some Houston volunteers. A lonely mom has kittens to nurse, and the little cats are hungry no more.
"It's just miraculous that we found each other at just the right time," said Amanda Lowe, a fosterer of kittens with Houston area charity Dori's Darlings who cared for the kittens--Lily, Abby and Teddy--before they found a new mother.
She played mom for four days before receiving word through the organization that a momma cat named Mikey needed babies. So a meeting was arranged, and Mikey met the babies. They got on well, and within just 15 minutes Mikey was nursing the babies with accumulating milk meant for the babies she had lost.
"It was so special," said Lowe, who posted photos of the meeting on Facebook and other internet forums. "There's just so much sadness going on the news today that I knew everyone else would see the beauty and joy in it."

Both parties must be sooo relieved. (And Mama Cat, I know what it is like when you need to nurse! Ouch!)

Not that you mentioned it is a good lead-in story for Mother's Day.
