Take the first guy in the video. He stutter steps which is really a bad idea. Most of the parkour fails are people who are doing stunts rather than parkour.
The video I link to below is from one of the founders of parkour. It's far more representative of the nature of what parkour is than people trying to do the biggest longest jumps they can. It's about being able to flow from one move into the next. Those guys trying to just do the furthest jump they can, aren't able to do anything out of it. And they are eventually going to blow out a knee or break something that isn't easily fixable. They aren't training to be able to do parkour for life.

The group I train with, we do plenty of challenges that are difficult, that sometimes we fail at, but we avoid doing things that are blatantly stupid. Both because it helps keep the parkour community growing (we have everyone from little kids to people well into middle age training with us) and because it makes it so that we can continue to train in public places while still being good members of the larger community by sharing space.
