http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/05/10/iowa-store-clerk-refused-to-sell-a-woman-tampons-because-theyre-gross/I kind of had that thought like oh, theres a guy on the counter. For a moment, I thought Id much rather a woman sold me these,' Epworth told the Daily Dot. Then I thought, dont be stupid.'
But as it turns out, her trepidation was not unfounded. I put them on the counter and he said I cant sell these.'
She says the guy appeared to be young, perhaps in his early twenties. And the woman he fetched was middle-aged. She looked me in the eye like she knew it was ridiculous. And she also didnt appear surprised, like this had happened many times before.

my hubby says the clerk should be doing menial work like being a garbage man.

I can't imagine someone lost that much of their brain cells. I don't want to believe it.

And, the last I checked, this isn't some magical evil blood that women are cursed with every month, it's the same blood that you would sell Band-Aids to her for if she scraped her foot kicking your ass

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
