a little afternoon fun - our foster kittens having some play time

Here are Onyx, Jasper(both all black males), Opal and Pearl(females & calico colours) having a little fun with their tether ball.
We've had them since they were 3 weeks, barely walking and have grown to be strong, fun and playful as hell.
We did lose one of their sisters to panleuk, Jade. So we've had to keep the crew and their Mom, Gabby basically quarantined in our room.
They just got their first shots and will soon be ready for adoption.

In the meantime, please enjoy a little kitten time.

I HAVE TO GO LAY DOWN!

I had to have my almost-17 year old solid black cat put down last month.......this made me remember him when he was a kitten

17 years is a solid amount of time for sure!

These little guys are a lot of fun, but, now it's to the point that when the sun starts to think about cresting the horizon, they are off to the races. Literally!!
I wake up almost every morning to the little patter of paws running all over the bedroom, up on the bed, attacking the big blobs under the blankets and then running and jumping away(I'm certain I hear them laughing)!

I have another cat who is 10 but he was a feral / injured stray rescue - I adore him but he is very aloof, has always kept that feral mentality - I got my departed black kitty at the pound when he was two months old and he was just always near me. I think I may head back to the pound in the near future.

...but we've been doing it for about a year now and have kind of gotten used ot it. We know is has to be done, so we accept it and make sure adopters give us updates and so far, everyone is very very happy with their new forever cats, so that's the reward for sure.

My only cat now is named U tube. I can't handle the death, drama and destruction anymore.

I found a kitten last summer and he plays with quite a vengeance, but it would be so much more fun for him with friends...
