Stick shift drivers are forced to be more alert and also don't have a hand free to operate a cell phone.

That's my opinion and I'm unanimous in that.

but age, knee replacement & a bad broken hip repair disallows it. My last stick was a 4 speed Jeep CJ7.

...outlawed, these prissy weak women (and Girly-men) will have to stay home where they belong PLUS it will leave the roads a lot more clear for us Macho-Dudes. Everybody wins!

Power steering should be outlawed and we should bring back the standard of the steering wheel being the same diameter as the wheel rims.

Let' see those jacked up trucks with mudders and cruisers with low-pro 24's get into the driver's seat.

Any vehicle with four wheels, except for a motorhome, that you need a ladder to get in.

I see no real advantage to doing away with power steering. I can't imagine how hard it would be to mow my yard without it on my Kubota tractor.

and almost definitely take away the ability of amputees to drive a rental car.

and maybe you didn't think of that.

and why would you think of the disabled before making a grand pronouncement?

that would complicate the decision, taking them into consideration.

and no, you can't grant an exemption, it would make automatics a costly aftermarket add on.

think of how many veterans you would affect and prevent from driving.

I've driven a car where the power steering was just busted for a time.

The only time it was difficult at all was when parking.
