in HB I saw the moon rise from the Ocean. I may never see that again in my life time. It was spectacular.

(54,378 posts)The outer tip of Cape Cod is one of them. It's why we make the 4000 mile trip every year.

(41,831 posts)And Cape Cod. I guess I prefer the warm beaches of Southern California. I love Northern California but you need a wet suit, just to sit on the beach! XD

(54,378 posts)P-town is at the tip of Cape Cod, while Providence is the capital city of Rhode Island.
Thirty years ago, when we started coming, the ocean side beaches were indeed petty cold. They have warmed up a lot in the last decade, and you don't need a wet suit any more. One upside is you now get to see a lot more seals close to the shore. The downside is that we are now getting Great White Sharks and less lobsters (who prefer colder water).
P-town. The Rocks off of San Francisco has always had thousands of seals, sealions, and of course Great White Sharks. They call it the Golden Triangle...for GWSharks.
