Donald Duck Day National Donald Duck Day is celebrated annually on June 9th. This day commemorates the birthday of the funny animal cartoon character, Donald Duck. Donald made his first screen debut on June 9, 1934 in The Wise Little Hen.
Donald Duck usually wears a sailor suit with a cap and a black or red bow tie and is most famous for his semi-intelligible speech along with his mischievous and irritable personality
Donald Duck has appeared in more films than any other Disney character. Donald was also declared in 2002 by TV Guide as one of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all times.
It was in Donalds second appearance in Orphans Benefit that he was introduced to his comic friend, Mickey Mouse. Donalds girlfriend, Daisy Duck, along with his nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, were introduced shortly thereafter. http://nationaldaycalendar.com/2015/06/08/june-9-2015-national-donald-duck-day-national-strawberry-rhubarb-pie-day/

(205,405 posts)I make a point of reading them every day, decided I might as well join in! I took last night's jelly donut coincidence as a sign... And I like the idea that every day is worth celebrating!

(38,958 posts)The Jelly Donut Coincidence was no coincidence as we have discussed. It was part of the Grand Plan by "The Great Whatever from High Atop The Thing", brought to you by the Donut Man......

(205,405 posts)He really was a very nice kid, should consider making that particular store my "home" Dunkin' Donuts! I looked it up recently and had no idea there were so many. I live on a fairly small town and I think there are four!
