It's about Leonard Chess & the early days of Chess Records,

Artists such as: Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Willie Dixon, Etta James & later,
Chuck Berry

Howlin' Wolf is played masterfully by Eamonn Walker

Muddy Waters is excellently played by Jeffrey Wright

Beyonce Knowles plays Etta James ("At Last" won a Grammy)

Willie Dixon, (who wrote many songs for all of the above), is played by Cedric the Entertainer.
