I have a severe phobia of roaches, and a HUGE one crawled in under the door because it is raining. She has chased it all over the house, laid in wait, and is STILL keeping it at bay under the dresser in the bedroom.
She's like a terminator. I love her so.

(32,969 posts)Just another reason to love her - she protects her person from roaches.

(39,961 posts)With the exception of cockroaches. You know most people have animals/critters run away from them?
That doesn't happen with me (as is evident with my many encounters with wild life). They run *TO* me. Cockroaches flee to me as though I am their salvation, scare me the hell to death, and I can't go in a room where a cockroach was if it isn't dead with evidence.
Give me spiders, give me other icky things, but a cockroach terrifies the living shit out of me. I'd almost say something nice to Ted Cruz if he waved his hand and rid the world of them, but he'd only be killing himself and the rest of the GOP candidates.

(115,683 posts)Cats I've belonged to have variously eaten (in the house) a centipede, a June bug, and several mice. It's the crunching sound that's so off-putting.

(39,961 posts)my little darling eat, but I will say that the sound of a cat eating a mouse is unmistakable and extremely disgusting. LOL
I still love her, though, guarding me against my greatest fear!
