I wonder how well the monitors hold up over time and how well they hold up in adverse weather conditions.

...isn't all that interested in "road safety", especially at this price. As much as possible, the industry stays off 2-lane roads. They'd prefer to build more multi-lane highways and have their trucks putter along at less than 'highway speed'.
Pretending that it is 1950 Forever, the transportation industry is doing just fine, thank you.
A big shiny reflective door works much better.

This is why I never drive behind trucks if I can help it. This video gives me a bit more peace of mind but still I would avoid driving behind trucks at all costs for safety reasons.

Last night I was stuck behind this huge truck that just stopped. It was also on a two lane road and I wasn't sure what I should do. Obviously, I got around it safely, but I was pretty anxious since I couldn't see what was coming in the other lane...
