There are times when I really wish I had some caltrops handy.

Went out to check my mail and some clown was hauling down our residential street doing way over 30 mph. When I motioned at him to slow down, he flipped me the finger and sped up.

People regularly come in on the road by our house doing 50+ even though the speed limit is 30 for quite some way before you reach town. We live in a residential area. Our neighbors have kids and there are pedestrians and cyclists on that road often.

I suppose the local cops might have more pressing issues, but I'd really like to see them set up out here and clock traffic.
